The anti-drug cell has successfully gotten hold of several Bollywood celebrities and suppliers involved in drug consumption or distribution. The enclosure has been actively working on getting out the names of people involved in such activities.

Sanjay Dutt has been very bold about his journey of being a drug addict and spending months in rehab. ‘Sanju’, his biopic, gives us insight into the early years of his life when he was a victim of drug abuse. Rhea’s name popped up after the death of Sushant Singh Rajput. The actress was a close friend of the Kate actor. She, along with her brother Show Chakraborty was arrested on charges of arranging narcotics for the late actor, and they were later released on bail.
The TV actress who starred in ‘Sankatmochan Mahabali Hanuman’, ‘Savdhaan India’ and many more were arrested in October 2020 on suspicion of ganja possession (cannabis). She was granted bail and freed.
The comedian recently made it to the headlines with her being involved in the drug business. Bharti, along with her husband Haarsh Limbachiyaa, were arrested but later released on bail.
In August 2021, the actor was taken into custody as illegal substances were found at his home in Andheri. The Big Boss Star’s bail application was denied.
NCB detained the actor for trying to purchase cocaine. However, he was awarded immunity from prosecution in the case by the court.

Amongst Bollywood actresses, Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, Shraddha Kapoor and Kangana Ranaut, names sprung up with linkages to drug consumption in the past. Deepika was questioned by NCB for viral chats with manager Karishma Prakash in October 2017. Sara’s and Shraddha’s names came up post-Sushant Singh’s death. Kangana Ranaut has been boldly speaking against the massive drug consumption in the industry. However, an old video of the actress surfaced in which she admits her addiction to drugs.
A few months back, a Karan Johar’s party was buzzing as it featured Bollywood stars under the influence of illegal substances. The video went viral as the public spotted cocaine lines on sofas and actors with red eyes. The party was attended by Vicky Kaushal, Shahid Kapoor, Zoya Akhtar, Varun Dhawan, Ranbir Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor and many others. The video has been under the NCB scanner.
