JioPhone Next has preloaded with a device lock feature. The phone has allowed Reliance Jio to restrict access in case you are not able to pay its EMI. The feature appeared on the early units of the JioPhone Next. The reliance has showcased the particular feature to the media ahead of its sale.

Further, Jio announced the availability of the phone of reliance in collaboration with Google last week. The phone comes with a price tag of Rs. 6,499. Though it can be purchased by paying an upfront amount of Rs.1,999. Further, the rest via easy EMI installments for up to 24 months.
About the JioPhone Next preloaded lock feature
The preloaded device lock feature means restricting user access. If a customer fails to pay the EMI. However, instead of keeping it in the background. Jio has placed a banner on the notification panel that highlights the feature. It further reads,” Device provided by the financer.”

Last year, Google also spots creating an app called Device Lock Controller. The aim of Google is to restrict the device if the user is not able to pay its installment.
Unlike regular EMI options, Jio has clubbed the installments for the phone. It is also with its dedicated prepaid plans. These plans start from Rs.300 a month for 24 months. It further goes up to Rs. 600 a month for 18 months. Moreover, each plan includes data and voice call benefits alongside the EMI of the JioPhone Next.
