Today Instagram has over a billion users and generates over $20 billion to the annual revenues from Facebook.With a startup of 13 people, Facebook purchased Instagram for $1 billion at the same time in 2012, Instagram introduced with Reel feature on 5 August 2020 similar to Tik Tok.Users will now be able to save audio, share audio, and explore audio in Reels.
On Thursday it is announced that Facebook Inc. is offering advertising globally on its Instagram Reels and TikTok clone. In April, Instagram Reels advertisements in India, Brazil, Germany and Australia were tested by the Instagram that aims to generate money on their short form video feature. The tests were performed by brands including BMW, Louis Vuitton, Netflix, Uber.
We see Reels as an excellent way for users to discover Instagram’s new content, so advertisements are a fit,” said Justin Osofsky who is Chief Operating Officer of Instagram. These new creative formats may be used by brands of all sizes in an atmosphere where customers are already entertained.”
Reels advertising, which will run between individual reels, are full-screen and vertical, similar to the Instagram Story ads. They loop like the contents of organic rolls and can last up to 30 seconds
The business says Reels advertising between single rolls will appear which loop and can take up to 30 seconds.
