Elon Musk, the entrepreneur, announces on Thursday that he is intending to create a new university called ‘Texas Institute of Technology and Science.’ It’s possible that the software entrepreneur, who has been outspoken about his distaste for higher education, meant it as a joke. Given Musk’s recent announcement that his company will be growing in Texas, it’s unclear how serious he is about his new initiative. SpaceX and The Boring Company, both founded by Tesla, are situated in Hawthorne, California.
Twitter users have begun to respond to his messages, particularly the ludicrous acronym that the proposed varsity’s name stands for. The varsity will also “have tremendous mech” and be “universally is being admire,” according to Musk.

Given Musk’s opposition to formal education, many Twitter users were eager to cast doubt on his motives.

Many users were also unhappy at the attempt at humour by Musk.
One user wrote “Honestly. As a shareholder and customer, this is really a puzzling and disappointing attempt at humour. We are trying to encourage more women to pursue…”.
Honestly. As a shareholder and customer, this is really a puzzling and disappointing attempt at humor. We are trying to encourage more women to pursue technology degrees and careers. I cannot see how this helps that effort in any way.

Musk said about his dissatisfaction with the current educational system. “I think college is essentially for pleasure and to prove that you can do your tasks, but they’re not for learning,” he stated at the recently held ‘Satellite 2020’ conference.” He also reminded the audience that going to college was pointless since “you can learn everything for free.”
He has also stated that his firm, Tesla, does not demand university diplomas when employing employees, something he finds “absurd.”
Musk spent two years at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. He went on to the University of Pennsylvania after that. Besides, Elon Musk earned bachelor’s degrees in physics and economics from the University of Pennsylvania. He also enrolled at Stanford University for a PhD programme, but dropped out after only two days.
