Pape Sarr, who came to Metz as part of the generation foot programme less than a year ago, has quickly established himself in the first team, scoring four goals in 25 games.
At Metz, Sarr led the team in carries-per-90 minutes into the final third of the pitch last season. He’s a forward-thinking and positive passer. as evidenced by the fact he finished third on the Maroons’ side in terms of progressive passes-per-90 minutes.
So far this season, he’s played in all three of the team’s Ligue 1 games, but none of them has ended in victory.
The spurs’ match against Watford is on Saturday, so Sarr will miss Metz’s match against Clermont on the same day.
In order to land Sarr, Tottenham reportedly beat out five other clubs. Sarr made his senior international debut for Senegal earlier in the year 2021.
The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium has had a tumultuous summer.
Of course, the saga surrounding Harry Kane’s future has dominated proceedings, though it now appears that the England captain will stay with his boyhood club at least until January.
