The long awaited Premier League season is upon us, Chelsea defeat Crystal Palace in their first match. The match was contested in Stamford Bridge on Saturday. With this home win Chelsea now stand second in the Premier League table.
New contract star player Romelo Lukaku will skip this match and will be seen on Monday. Thomas Tuchel has announced his return to Stamford Bridge and when he will join the first squad. N’Golo Kante missed out the game due to an injury.

In the initial stage of the first half Chelsea created a few chances but were unable to net the ball. Chelsea pressurize the visitors into a corner and a free kick and keep the possession. In the 27th minute Marcos Alonso scores by a free kick, and dominant Chelsea take the lead.
Cristian Pulisic bangs in a goal in the 40th minute to double the lead. Chelsea are now 2-0 before the half time and are keeping the ball in the opponents half. In the 58th minute Academy Graduate Trevor Chalobah scores to give a cushion to the home side.

Crystal Palace are now desperate to net in the ball but are not creating any chances. The match finishes without any goals from the visitors who have a totally different side since last season.
