A BCCI source close to the selection committee told PTI on Tuesday (12 October) said:
“The national selectors have decided also to include Avesh Khan in the mix. As of now, he will be a net bowler. But if the team management feels, he can be upgraded.”

However, As per PTI, India star all-rounder Hardik Pandya will play the T20 World Cup solely as a batter. With his back still not fit for bowling. With Hardik facing injury concerns. KKR opener Venkatesh Iyer will be ask to stay in the Indian bio-bubble as a cover for Pandya.
