He tweeted, “2017: I wrote this quote down a million times in my diary before putting this up on the wall! Quotes that we read and admire have more power when we internalise them and apply in life.”
The spinner is beyond happy after his selection. He also added saying, “Happiness and gratitude are the only 2 words that define me now.”

Ravichandran Ashwin returned to India’s white-ball outfit after four years. The 34-year-old last played white-ball cricket for India in 2017. However, Ashwin leads the spin attack for India in their test matches. Ashwin has picked 52 wickets from 46 T20 International outings in his career.
Talking about the senior off-spinner’s inclusion, chief selector Chetan Sharma said, “Ashwin is an asset. He performed well in the IPL and we needed a player of his experience. We need an off-spinner with Washington Sundar injured.” He also added saying, “Ashwin is the only off-spinner in the squad.
Ashwin has been the lead attack of the spin department for India for many years. However, due to a drop of form Ashwin was overlooked. However, he kept performing in the IPL and has rightfully earned his place. The 34-year-old looks to add experience that will be key to this young Indian side.
