Harshal Patel was the star bowler for RCB. He takes 3 for 33 against Sunrisers Hyderabad in Match 52 to conclude the IPL 2021 with 29 wickets. He breaks Jasprit Bumrah’s record of most IPL scalps in a season.
To head the exclusive list, Harshal blasted Kane Williamson (31), Wriddhiman Saha (10), and Holder (16). Last season, Bumrah set the previous record with 27 wickets for the Mumbai Indians.
Harshal has already claimed a hat-trick and a five-wicket haul this season, accomplishments that no other bowler has managed to achieve. Arshdeep Singh and Andre Russell are the only two players with five-fors.
Opening batsman Jason Roy top-scored with a 38-ball 44, but RCB used disciplined bowling to restrict SRH to 141 for seven in their IPL match on Wednesday.

Roy and skipper Kane Williamson (31) put on a 58-ball 70-run stand to set the tone. Still, SRH lost three quick wickets for two runs in seven balls to finish with a below-par total at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium.
Harshal Patel (3/33) emerged as the most successful bowler in today’s match. Daniel Christian (2/14) got two wickets. Still, the spin combo of Yuzvendra Chahal (1/27) and Shahbaz Ahmed (0/21) kept things under control. However, George Garton’s one wicket cost him 29 runs in two overs.

With RCB already qualified for the playoffs and a league match left to play, Harshal now has a chance to become the bowler with the most wickets in a single edition. Harshal is now three wickets short of matching Dwayne Bravo’s record. Bravo presently holds the record with 32 wickets in the 2013 tournament.
