Simultaneously, exciting day awaits us on Monday. Furthermore following fireworks from Jasprit Bumrah (24) and Umesh Yadav (25), India set England a target of 368 after being dismissed for 466. Rishabh Pant and Shardul Thakur forged a partnership of 100 runs, with both scoring half-centuries. However, England struck in quick succession to dismiss both the set batsmen. Moeen Ali got the big wicket of Virat Kohli as England dominated the first session. The first 40 minutes of the first hour belonged to India but the last 20 belonged to England. As Chris Woakes sent Ravindra Jadeja (17) and Ajinkya Rahane (0) packing in successive overs.
Day 5 Weather Report –
At Kennington Oval at London unlike the previous days, the entirety of Day 5 is expected to be played under clear skies, making it an ideal Day for batting despite the obvious wear and tear of the pitch. The forecast suggests no overcast conditions which will be a relief for England as India will begin the day with Jasprit Bumrah and the new ball. Eventually expect the pitch to deteriorate further due to the constant sunshine. Whereas, the spinners could be in for long spells on a day ideal for batting.
