The film Shershaah has just dropped on 12th August and the movie review is low than expected. This film starring Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani, as main leads, goes runs along the course of patriotism and heroism.
Shershaah presents the misfortune of many martyrs who lost their lives in the Kargil war. It also shows how the Indian Army showed courage and patriotism in the war.
Karan Johar’s production team, Dharma Productions is behind this biopic.
The movie revolves around the story of Captain Vikram Batra, an army officer of India and his team who fought against the Pakistani forces. Vikram’s aspiration to become a “fauji” made him determined enough to protect his country. This biopic, directed by Vishnu Varadhan stirs up a romantic relationship between Vikram and his wife. Shershaah takes the audience through Vikram’s aspirations and turbulence while achieving them.
This Vishnu Vardhan’s film did not do justice to the script. The script proved to be more authentic than the direction. However, Sidharth Malhotra definitely showed improvement in his acting skills, while Kiara lacked some. The script of the biopic was too good for the actors. Nonetheless, actors are not the only ones to be blamed. Vishnu’s direction left many loopholes in the story.
Moreover, the accent and dialogues did not harmonize with the plot.
The film was supposed to be released in theatres but unfortunately, coronavirus made it impossible. Sidharth Malhotra shared his experience on how he felt pressurized to do a biopic.
Overall, the film was not up to the mark and lacked in many ways. Moreover, many people felt that this beautiful plot got wasted. However, some fans liked the movie.
People can watch this film on Amazon Prime Video from 12th August.
