After much speculation. Delhi CM and AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal. Finally revealed the Chief Ministerial candidate’s name for the Punjab elections 2022. No points for guessing. It is none other than the actor-turned-politician Bhagwant Mann, whose name has been doing rounds for quite some time now. Amid many anticipations regarding Bhagwant Mann being the CM face for Punjab, it gets cleared today.
A two-time MP from Sangrur and the AAP’s Punjab unit president was finally declared as the AAP’s Cm candidate for the upcoming elections to be held on February 20.
Earlier, this month The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) had sought the public’s opinion to select the chief ministerial candidate for the Punjab Assembly elections.

In the meantime, ” AAP leader Raghav Chadha in Chandigarh in a press briefing said. That the party received responses through SMS, Voice calls, WhatsApp messages, etc. AAP’s IT team is scrutinizing each and every message and Kejriwal will disclose the result On Jan 18” he said.
Raghav Chadda further added “ It is only AAP which will announce their chief ministerial face ahead of Punjab assembly polls“
AAP president Arvind Kejriwal while addressing the press told reporters that. ” Bhagwant Mann, a two-time Aam Aadmi Party MP from Sangrur. Received more than 93 percent of the votes cast by phone and WhatsApp”.

Furthermore, The AAP chief said that “Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu received around 3% of the vote“.
