Ever Since the incident of derailment happened, all reputed ministers are showing their grief over the incident. Recently, Vice-President M Venkiah Naidu too took to his social media handle to express his grief over the incident.
Vice-President M Venkiah Naidu shows resentment
Taking to Twitter, M Venkiah Naidu manifested resentment for the people who lost their lives. He further wished for the fast recovery of injured ones. His tweet goes this way, “Deeply Saddened by the loss of lives due to the derailment of Bikaner-Guhawati Express in Jalpaiguri, West Bengal. My heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families. I pray for the speedy recovery of the injured”.

Prime Minister and others express their grief
Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also expressed his anguish on his Twitter handle. He tweeted, “Spoke to Railways Minister Shri @AshwiniVaishnav and took stock of the situation in the wake of the train accident in West Bengal. My thoughts are with the bereaved families. May the injured recover quickly”.

Noticing the seriousness of the situation, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath also finds it deeply saddening. Hence, he wrote, “The news of the accident of Bikaner-Guwahati Express train in West Bengal is extremely sad. Praying for peace to the departed souls to Lord Shri Ram and wishing for the speedy recovery of those injured in the accident. My condolences are with the bereaved families”.

Aside from this, Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav proclaimed compensation for the bereaved families. He informed the amount in a tweet. The tweet reads, “Enhanced amount of ex-gratia compensation to the victims of this unfortunate accident: Rs. 5 lakh in case of death, Rs1 lakh towards grievous and Rs 25, 000 for minor injuries”.

What did actually happen?
On Friday around 5 pm, Bikaner-Guwahati express train got derailed near the Jalpaiguri area of West Bengal. According to the reports, the train departed from Patna was on its way to reach its destination Guwahati. Till now, 5 people have died and 45 are severely injured.
Moreover, rescue teams were approached shortly after the incident happened. All the possible help was provided. As per the reports, a total of 12 coaches have been affected.
