New Delhi: Congress President Sonia Gandhi on Friday called for an immediate change in the Organisation. Stressing that a change in the working style of the oldest party was “the need of the hour”. Inaugurating the three-day Congress Chintan Shivir in Udaipur. Sonia said “extraordinary circumstances demand extraordinary action”. And promised introspection to bring about the necessary change.

“Unprecedented circumstances are before our organization. Extraordinary circumstances demand extraordinary action. I am fully alert to this. The organization has to bring about change within itself to not only survive but to grow. We need to reform and strategize. In dire need of change, Sonia in her inaugural address addressed around 450 delegates who are part of the three-day camp.

Noting that the Chintan Shivir is an important step in the reform journey, he said, “We are not oblivious to the struggle that we have to undertake to win. We are not ignorant of people’s expectations.”

The Congress president insisted that all have come together. To take a collective and individual resolve to bring the party back. So to the same position and play the role. Because that people were expected to play in these “deteriorating circumstances”. Said during Congress Chintan Shivir.
