Further, he also said India’s critics had been silenced.
PM Narendra Modi said that everyone is comparing India to other countries but remember India’s starting point was different. The other countries have always participated in medicine and vaccination for a long time and everyone questioned whether India will be able to do the needful. 100 crore vaccine jabs is an answer to all the questions.
PM said that while many spoke about ‘taalli, taalli’ (initial campaigns in the fight against the virus), the latest achievement showed the country was united in the battle.
This success reflects the important place of technology that not even big nations have today.
Our entire vaccine programme is a result of technology. It is science-born, science-driven and science-based. Science and scientific approach are at the heart of it,” he said.
The PM said at the time, a lot of questions were raised – would we be able to afford, would we be able to vaccinate quickly to beat pandemic? “This moment today has answered all these doubts,” he added.
Modi further said India started the free campaign of vaccines to drive home the point that no VIP culture exists in the country.
Moreover, PM Modi asked Indians to adopt the mask as a way of life. “Like we wear shoes, we should make it a habit of wearing masks,” he said
PM Modi spoke about the economy:
Experts are very positive about the Indian economy. There is employment for the young but there are also unicorns that will record capital. From Gati Shakti to new drone rules, the economy will get a boost,” he said
Moreover, PM Modi said that we should insist on buying every little thing, which is Made in India, which Indian sweats hard to make. And this will be possible only with the efforts of everyone
On 21st October, India accomplished the target of 1 billion COVID19 vaccinations.
