Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal On Friday. And, Sent a proposal to Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal seeking an end to the weekend curfew restrictions on Friday.
The suggestion from the CM comes a day after. The Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain claims the Union-Territory has overcome the peak of the COVID-19 wave. In addition, The CM has now sent a proposal concerning the lifting weekend restrictions in Delhi to the Lt Governor.
According to a few sources, Arvind Kejriwal in the proposal has suggested the need to remove the odd-even machinery applicable to open shops in markets.
Additionally, the proposal claims approval to operate private offices at 50 % capacity, for which the Lieutenant Governor has permitted the same to be operational at 50% capacity.
The Raj Bhavan said in an official statement That. “ We have given approval for 50% attendance in private offices. As per suggestions that status quo shall continue with regards to weekend curfew and opening of markets…decision to be taken on the subject once the Covid-19 situation improves further ”
However, as far as Weekend curfew is concerned Lt Governor Baijal has kept the Weekend curfew on status-quo
