Delhi COVID Restrictions: Earlier in the day, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal announced that the National capital is likely to see an ease in COVID restrictions. Since the state is witnessing a dip in its daily COVID count in the last few weeks. Kejriwal announced during a Republic Day program, “Soon Delhi will see an ease in its existing COVID-19 restrictions and we will ensure bring your life to normalcy….and will make all efforts in that direction”
Briefing about the positivity rate in Delhi. Kejriwal informed that the Covid positivity rate had seen a dip by 20% in the span of the last 10 days. ” Today it’s about 10%, In contrast to 30% positivity rate on January 15. All of this is because of Delhi’s expedited rate of vaccination “. CM said

Furthermore, he added that.“We don’t want the livelihood of people to see a decline. Delhi will see an ease in COVID restrictions as soon as possible,”
Meanwhile, Alongside the announcement of easing COVID, He stated. “There will be photos of only ‘BR Ambedkar’ and ‘Bhagat Singh’ in Each and Every Government offices’ of the Delhi. Hereafter we will not put any CM or politician’s photos.“
Delhi’s apex COVID-management body DDMA will be meeting on Thursday, January 27 to review the COVID situation in the city.
The meeting of the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) is likely to be chaired by Lt Governor Anil Baijal. Which is at 12.30 pm on January 27. Chief Minister of Kejriwal including other senior members of the committee will possibly discuss upon relaxations that may be announced looking at the existing improvements COVID situation in the city.
The Delhi government is also likely to take a call on the reopening of schools from February looking at the vaccination status of students by the end of this month.
The national capital Delhi recorded 5,760 new cases and 30 deaths in the last 24 hours. The city saw around 14,836 recoveries, which brought down the active cases to 45,140. The positivity rate has seen a huge decline of 11.79%.
